Entertainment Consumers Association Supporters of Net Neutrality
The American non-profit membership organization, Entertainment Consumers Association (ECA), is concerned with the current laws regarding net neutrality. The ECA does not like the fact that ISPs can block websites they don't like. Due to this, the ECA praises the FCC's new net neutrality principles and would like the commission to take further action so ISPs cannot block websites that they simply do not like.
The ECA believes that net neutrality is essential for the gaming industry because:
"From a gamer’s perspective, wireless providers must be treated the same as any other service provider to ensure the same gaming experiences exist across platforms. All of these applications need Net Neutrality to ensure that carriers cannot price discriminate against gamers, or eliminate or limit access to another provider’s content."
